The good news is that some rates are now at, near or even slightly above normal.
That is based on typical historic rates and trends and normal estimated forecasts. Yet the bad news is that freight rates continue to be volatile and not stable and predictable – at least in our operating areas and lanes.
Some loads are profitable and others are not worth starting the truck for.
Hopefully that will change within the next few weeks or so for the better. If it doesn’t trucking companies and owner operators will continue to drop out of business at an increasing rate.
